Anyone can build a workflow.

A workflow is a sequence somebody has to babysit. A system has a schedule, retries, alerting when it goes quiet, and tests that fail loudly. I ship the second kind, for outbound and revenue operations at B2B software companies.

The roster

The GTM org chart, collapsed into software.

Each of these ran in production: built, shipped, and attributed to revenue. People handle judgement and deals. The roster handles everything else.

Signal capture

40%efficiency gain

Watches job posts, stack changes, site visits and LinkedIn engagement. Knows who is in market this week, not who merely exists.

TheirStack · Trigify · RB2B · PhantomBuster

Seven stage copy engine

1.5%+positive replies

Role mapping, SEO intelligence, gap analysis, positioning, generation. Per contact emails shipped with no human review, across 150+ domains.

Clay · Claude Code · Smartlead

Agentic research

6h → 30mper batch

Async fan out across 100+ domains per batch with headless enrichment of JavaScript rendered pages. Analyst days of intel, no analyst.

Python · Playwright · asyncio

Asset led ABM

500+tracked pages

Personalised landing pages generated per account, visit tracked, reporting Share of Answer and AI Share of Voice, with per account video in sequence.

Ahrefs · Sendspark

Inbound routing

48h → 9.6hqualification

A scoring rubric reads fit and intent with reasoning, pushes routed context into the CRM, and pings the closer while the lead is still warm.

webhooks · HubSpot · Slack

De-anonymisation

Same dayvisit to sequence

Resolves anonymous traffic to person and account, enriches it, and sequences into email and LinkedIn before the intent goes cold.

RB2B · n8n · Clay · HeyReach

Qualification gate

102 / 1,562kept, reasons logged

Scores people across several intent sources and rejects anything it cannot confirm, recording why for every single rejection. Rejecting is the feature.

Python · Supabase · Modal

Failure alerting

53tests, isolated

Posts run outcomes including zero row runs. A quiet morning is the most expensive bug in outbound, because nobody investigates one.

Modal · Slack

Operating rules

Four things I keep arriving at.

Fail closed
When the data is uncertain, skip the person and record why. Most tooling fails open and quietly contacts the wrong people.
Signal before volume
Sending more is not the answer. Two intent sources agreeing beats one source shouting.
Silence lies
A quiet morning looks like success. Alert on zero, not only on errors.
Own it, do not rent it
If the handover is a recording and a spreadsheet, the buyer rented a workflow.

The interesting part was never the tooling. It is that the thing kept running without anyone watching it, and every decision it made could be traced afterwards.
